This is an interesting image of the Grumman C-2A Greyhound BuNo 152786. I have no date or location with the slide. The C-2A went short after delivery at October 1966 to the VRC-50 Foo Dogs at NAS CubiPoint. Later they transfered the 152786 to the VR-24 Lifting Eagles. First I thought that this image was after the Greyhound came back from the VR-24 to the VRC-40, the Rawhides, but the propeller at this engine looks like the first Aero props. Ca. 1974 the propellers were changed to the round corner once. To the left is Navy’s version of the F-111, so it must be late 60's. Could it be that this image was taken at NAS Alameda and the C-2A was with the VR-30 before he was transfered to the VRC-50 ? Speculation, but maybe somebody could help here.
